Hello everyone. I just want to welcome all of you to a new season of racing at PC! The first race is coming up quick and we are doing our best to get everything prepared to put on the best race ever.

As most of your have probably seen, Bill and Paula McCallister have been handling the day-to-day practice and track operations, and my family and friends along with Bill and Paula will be running the races. My father Les will be running the facility on race weekends and I don’t think you could ask for someone better. My mother Janet will be in charge of timing and scoring which is also the best you can do. Both have held these positions before for many years in the days I raced karts. Tom Halbasch will be Race Director.

Just so everyone is clear on our goal with All Star Karting and PCKC, let me give you some of my thoughts. We look forward to giving people a fun, family-oriented place to race. I started my career racing at PC and spent many days teaching people how to drive at this track. I really enjoy the idea that some of the kids racing out here will possibly make a career of racing, and those who don’t I expect will have a great time.

Unfortunately, I will not be able to be at the first race as I will be flying to the ALMS winter test in Sebring, FL. I am excited for my season with BMW Rahal Letterman Racing, but my racing will cause me to miss a handful of PCKC events.

Look for our BBQ on Saturday afternoon sponsored by Race Media Group (RMG) and hosted at the Kartel hospitality tent. I will be there for that! I hope everyone has a great weekend of racing. The more fun you have the better you can do, I know from experience!  - Joey

Joey Hand - President
Joey has been racing since age 12 making his start in karts as so many professional racers have. His resume includes Daytona Prototypes, ALMS GT2, Grand-Am GT & GS and Formula Atlantics. Joey will be racing for Rahal-Letterman in the GT2 Series as well as Turner Motorsports in the Grand-Am GS Series for 2010.

Les Hand - Track Director 
A.K.A Grand Pa, Les' racing career actually began in the early part of the 20th century when he began racing horses, switching to cars when auto racing was invented. Les is the current Vice President of NCTA and the manager of Kartel Motorsports.

Bill McCallister - Vice President
Most folks know Bill as the owner of California Kart World located Rancho Cordova California.

Erik Bartolero - Asst. Director
Erik is the co-owner of Kartel Motorsports and like Joey, he has an impressive collection of karting championships such as IKF, SKUSA and Stars of Karting to name just a few.

Paula McCallister - Track Manager  
Co-owner of California Kart World, Paula is a familiar face in Nor-Cal karting and is occasionally seen hanging out with Bill. Paula handles the day-to-day track duties as well as the track Pro Shop.

Jason Baker - Special Forces .
Jason is another one that's been around karting forever, we couldn't get rid of him so we gave him a job. The Baker Man is a Machinist by day but afterwards he morphs into an awesome mechanic and and a pretty good racer too.

Janet Hand - Administration
As the wife and mother of professional racers, Janet has gobbs of experience in the admin side of the racing business... besides she's the only one we could find that would put up with us!
